Drop in one receipt or invoice. In about 10 seconds you’ll see what ExpenseCatcher reads from it: the fields, the file name it would give it, and the row it would add to your sheet.

How it works
Your file is read in memory by our AI provider, Anthropic, and is never stored. We don’t keep the fields we read either.
It reads the type (receipt or invoice), vendor, date, subtotal, tax, total, currency, invoice number, payment method and a short description.
You get one free scan in this browser without an account. With an account, every receipt you forward is read like this and filed in your own Google Drive and Sheet automatically.
Questions
- What happens to my file?
- It’s sent to Anthropic’s API to be read, then discarded. We don’t save the file or the fields we read, and Anthropic doesn’t train on it.
- Which files work?
- PDFs and photos (JPG, PNG, WebP and iPhone HEIC), up to 4 MB. Scanned PDFs can be up to 5 pages.
- How accurate is it?
- It’s usually right on clear receipts, but check the amounts before you rely on them, especially on faded or crumpled paper.
