Working from home allowance calculator
For sole traders using simplified expenses. The flat rate depends on how many hours a month you work at home.
Business work only. You need at least 25 hours a month.
Your phone, internet and software bills are expenses as well. ExpenseCatcher files every emailed receipt in your Drive and logs it in your Sheet. Start free
How it works
25 to 50 hours a month: £10. 51 to 100 hours: £18. 101 hours or more: £26. Under 25 hours a month you can’t use the flat rate.
Phone and internet aren’t included. Claim the business share of those separately.
Instead of the flat rate, you can claim a share of your actual costs, which can be more if a room is used for business. It’s an estimate to help you see the size of the numbers, not tax advice.
